MEMORY TREE

As the 'Keeper of the Memory,' we want you to find ways to remember and honor your loved one.

Just like the seasons of a year, your grief has seasons as well. There may be times when your emotions feel bare and empty — as a tree in Winter, appearing lifeless. Or, you might feel inklings of hope, as in the Spring when buds begin to form. Autumn may feel hopeless when leaves begin to abandon the tree, and then, there are the best of times when Summer arrives, and there is hope for the future. But remember, even though a tree may appear full, this doesn’t mean perfection, for even in summer there can be drought — and so your grief can wave in and out.

Use this Memory Tree to record the ways in which this person touched your life, find ways to keep their memory alive, and help it thrive as an honoring and legacy. The branches, representing what the person brought into your life, are what to focus on to honor them. The roots are where you can place what you will miss.

WHAT THIS COULD HELP YOU WITH:
• Having a place to record the blessings of having this person in your life.

QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT THINK ABOUT:
• What was their greatest gift to me?
• How would they like to be remembered?
